Terms of Use

The deal

These terms are an agreement between you and InsideLife ("we", "us"). By creating an account or playing InsideLife, you agree to them, to our Privacy Policy, and, if you go for a gift box, to the Gift box rules. If you don't agree, please don't play.

Who can play

• You must be 18 or older.
• One account per person. Don't make extra accounts, and don't share, sell, buy or trade accounts.
• Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account. Nobody from InsideLife will ever ask for your password, a reset code or your card.

It's a game

InsideLife is a game. The cabals, fights, robberies and street life in it are fiction. Nothing in the game is advice, or encouragement, to do any of it in real life. Real Lagos places appear as a setting only.

Game Naira and items

• Game Naira, items and everything else you earn or buy in the game are for play only. They have no real-money value and can never be cashed out, sold or moved outside the game.
• The casino games in InsideLife are played with game Naira and pay out game Naira. You can't win real money from them.
• You get a licence to use them in the game; you don't own them. We can change how they work, what they cost and what they do, to keep the game balanced.
• Buying or selling game Naira, items or accounts for real money outside the game isn't allowed.

Buying with real money

• Everything in InsideLife can be played for free. Purchases are optional.
• Payments are taken in Naira by Paystack. The price is shown before you pay, and what you buy is added to your account as soon as the payment goes through.
• Purchases are final once delivered, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. If something you paid for didn't arrive, email [email protected] with the payment reference and we'll deliver it or refund it.

Prizes

• Gift boxes and invite prizes are free promotions: you never pay to take part.
• Gift boxes follow the Gift box rules. Prizes won by breaking these terms or those rules aren't paid, and we can take back game Naira won that way.

How to behave

Don't:

• cheat, use bots, scripts or other tools that play for you, or use bugs to get ahead (report them in Help instead);
• harass, threaten or bully anyone, or attack people for their tribe, religion, gender or anything else about who they are;
• post sexual or violent pictures, anything illegal, or anything sexual involving anyone under 18 (we report that to the authorities);
• scam players, ask for their passwords, codes or money, or pretend to be InsideLife staff;
• share anyone's private information, or pictures of people without their permission;
• spam, or advertise outside the game's own paid ads;
• use the game to plan or arrange real crime.

What you post

• What you post stays yours. You give us permission to store it, show it in the game, and use it to run and promote InsideLife.
• Only post what you have the right to post.
• Players can report messages and pictures, and enough reports hide them until our admins look. We can remove anything that breaks these terms. We don't watch everything as it's posted, and what players post is their own words, not ours.
• Ads that players and brands place in the game must follow these terms and Nigerian advertising law. We review them, but the advertiser is responsible for what they offer.

When terms are broken

We can warn you, remove what you posted, turn off your uploads, take back game Naira or items got unfairly, decline prizes, or block your account, depending on how serious it is. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and a person will look again.

You can stop playing at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected].

Changes to the game and these terms

• We change the game often: features, balance, prices and prizes. We can pause or end parts of it, or the whole game, and we'll give notice in the game before ending it when we can.
• We may change these terms. We'll update this page and its date, and tell you in the game about big changes. Playing after a change means you accept it.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep InsideLife running well, but it's provided as it is: there may be bugs, downtime or lost progress. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, and what we owe you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here takes away rights the law says can't be taken away, including your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If there's a problem, write to us first and we'll try to sort it out. If we can't, the courts of Lagos State will decide.
